ROCKY WOODS

ROCKY WOODS
Rocky Woods Road, Taunton

RATINGS:

Rocky Woods in Taunton has over 30 miles of tight, twisty moderately technical singletrack – too many trails to ride in one day! Some of the trails can be muddy and overgrown with vegetation. Best time to ride: winter/early spring the overgrowth is at a minimum. Rocky Woods is also home to some good rock climbing.

DIRECTIONS
Head west on Route 44 towards Taunton. Take a right on North Walker Street, and then a left on Rocky Woods Road. About three-tenths of a mile down Rocky Woods Road, you will pass some open fields and the dirt road will start to get rough. Best to park here and walk in, unless you have a four-wheel drive vehicle.

Option: Park behind Curley’s Pub on Winthrop Street (Route 44) in Taunton. The trailhead is in a corner of the lot behind the dumpster.
